Al Qaeda modules and sleeper cells that use madrassa teachers as terror operatives :Arrested in Assam

Two Terrorist Imams linked with Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) & Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) were arrested by Assam police in Goalpara district.

According to sources, They were involved in providing logistic support as well as sheltering Bangladeshis. They confessed being members of AQIS & recruited sleeper cells.

It's said that, in a continuous operation over the past two months, the Assam Police has unearthed several Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) and al Qaeda modules and sleeper cells that use madrassa teachers as terror operatives across the state.

The ABT is said to have made inroads in the north-eastern states of India along the Bangladesh border, particularly in Assam and Tripura.
